OF MODERN UKRAINIAN ART

How well do you know Ukrainian contemporary culture and country’s best
artists? How do Ukrainian artists see Finland? Nordic Bridge ry and the Main
Library of Helsinki offer you a rare chance to acquaint yourself with and enjoy
modern Ukrainian art. The exhibition will feature the colourful and emotional
works of Alexander F. Pavlov (1939) and young and talented artist Oksana Ivato
(1978)
Alexander F. Pavlov is a well-known expressionist from Kyiv. Since 1968
he organised 16 personal and 25 co-exhibitions around the world. His latest
exhibition was in Porvoo’s Art Factory in summer 2006.
Oksana Ivato comes from Lviv and she
represents a new and promising generation of young Ukrainian artists.
The exhibition will be held in the Main Library of
Helsinki in Pasila from 26.10.2006 to 27.11.2006
